About the event

Difficulty Rating: MODERATE

For this adventure, we're heading out to the Teepee Trail in the Angeles National Forest above La Cañada Flintridge, and this one is open to everyone. We're walking together this October in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, a coed hike in solidarity with survivors and a reminder that no one should ever have to rise alone.

This is a moderate, steady climb up a winding fire road, with switchbacks folded into the hillside and sweeping views of the San Gabriel Mountains, downtown LA, and on a clear day even the ocean. The real magic comes near the top, where the trail crosses onto private land the owners kindly share with hikers, passing a bee farm, a small lavender field, and a rock labyrinth before arriving at the iconic wooden teepee perched high in the foothills. It's a great outing for anyone ready for a solid workout with serious payoff, for friends, partners, and allies who want to show up for a cause that matters, and for the kind of wide open views and shared purpose that make every step worth it. Wear purple to stand with survivors as we rise together.
