About the event

Difficulty Rating: EASY/MODERATE

For this adventure, we're heading up to the summit of Mt Hollywood by way of the Bird Sanctuary Trail in Griffith Park, and we're doing it in full Halloween spirit!!

This is an easy/moderate climb that begins in a rare patch of tree-shaded canopy near the old Bird Sanctuary before opening up to sweeping views of the LA basin, the Hollywood Sign, and the Griffith Observatory glittering below. At the 1,625-foot summit you'll be rewarded with 360-degree views stretching from Glendale all the way to the ocean on a clear day, a pretty unbeatable backdrop for spooky season. Griffith Park is rich with old Hollywood ghost stories and local legend, so we're leaning all the way in: costumes encouraged, trail-friendly and festive. It's a great outing for Wild Sisters who want a fun, festive climb with a real workout built in, anyone who loves a good view with a side of spooky, and the kind of community celebration that reminds us we rise together, even in costume.
