Wilderness First Aid Certification (2-Day Course)
Hosted at Glendale Sports Complex | Taught by American First Responder
Ready to feel more confident responding to emergencies in the outdoors?
Join us for a comprehensive two-day Wilderness First Aid (WFA) Certification designed for hikers, backpackers, outdoor leaders, and anyone who spends time recreating outside. This course blends hands-on scenarios, practical skills, and real-world outdoor applications so you can respond calmly and effectively when it matters most.
This course includes CPR certification, and both your Wilderness First Aid and CPR certifications are valid for up to 2 years.
Over the course of two full days, you’ll learn how to assess situations, make informed decisions, and provide care in environments where professional help may be delayed.
You’ll learn how to:
Conduct patient assessments in wilderness settings
Manage common outdoor injuries like sprains, fractures, wounds, and burns
Recognize and respond to environmental emergencies such as heat illness and hypothermia
Handle altitude-related concerns and dehydration
Make evacuation decisions using practical, scenario-based thinking
Perform CPR and respond to life-threatening emergencies
This is not a passive lecture. It’s an interactive, scenario-driven course that prepares you for real-life situations on trail, at camp, or during backcountry travel. You’ll practice skills, ask questions, and walk away with tools you can actually use.
Whether you’re a beginner adventurer or an experienced guide, this certification builds confidence, sharpens decision-making, and reinforces the importance of preparedness in the outdoors.
